My engine starts up fine but while its idling or running on the road at low idle or possible going up a hill slowly there might be an occasional tremor of buck coming from what seems the bottom of the engine.  Any ideas what may be the cause of this?

 If it's an older car, it could be anything from a clogged fuel filter to aging spark plug wires to a connecting rod about to break.
