I have a 2000 Plymouth Neon and Im am having trouble with it going into second and 3rd gear. I have just replaced the radiator and changed all the lines and fluids. The Trans was drain completely and now the fluid coming out is blackish. It also makes jerks when I press on the gas. I have adjusted the Throtal Cable and it is still doing it. Im at the end of what I can think of and thanks for any suggestions.

Trans is a 607 trans a take off of the 727/904. The balckish fluid is burnt friction clutch plates and band fiber. you are going to need a rebuild. Black fluid always means burt fiber from the clutches and bands. When you changed the fluid did you use ATF+4 , or MOPAR 4 ?
