My 2001 GMC Jimmy 2dr Daytime running lights go out when I use my signal and make a turn then they come back on at end of turn when signal goes out. Anyone know if this is normal or if there is a problem and what it might be

Certainly not normal. It's almost as if the turn signal is taking up all the available electricity. Have the alternator and battery checked.
