Trying to replace the serpentine belts on an 88 Grand Marquis 5.0L - Alt belt is simple - loosen alt bolts & slide alt in . The longer belt which controls all other accessories has a 1/2 square slot in the tensioner bracket to insert a 1/2" breaker bar to release the tension for belt removal however it wont move.
Is there tensioner bracket bolts that must be loosened first b-4 the tensioner relaxes to get the belt off? Couldnt see anything from the top side.
