coolant leaks

    coolant leaks

    I own a 2000 plymouth voyager.It has a3.0 v6 auto trannsm. It recently started using alot of antifreez so i did a pressure check on radiator and found the leak down where the tube runs into the engine.Does anyone know what maybe causing the leak in that erea and how to repair it due to it seems difficult to get to.Any help would be Greatly appreciated.

    Are you talking about the tube were the rad hose feeds to this tube and the tube is under the crossover pipe for the exhaust?

    Yes that is the tube that i'm refering to.

    All you have to do is drain the rad, remove the rad hose from the tube,there are 2 bolts under the crossover pipe, bolted through the bell housing of the trans,you might have to remove the air filter box and battery,You can get these useing an extension of the proper leangth, remove the 2 bolts and pull the tube out, replace the old "o" ring with a new one, try to clean the hole in the block as good as possible,I like to add TRANS GELL on the "o"ring seal, but petroleum jelly will be ok.
