Suzuki has been aggressive in its efforts to target the mainstream sedan market, with several snazzy concept cars leading up to the 2010 Kizashi. But the Japanese company is not done yet. At the New York auto show, Suzuki is taking the wraps off an upcoming Sport variant that will upgrade GTS and SLS trim levels starting next model year. The Sport enhances the sedan with a more muscular front fascia (with chrome accents) and lower grille, body side sill extensions, lower body side molding with chrome accents, a trunk mounted spoiler, custom light weight 18-inch alloy wheels and a lower ride height. The cabin is also upgraded, with a sport steering wheel, contrasting stitching on the leather seats, shifter boot, and emergency brake boot. These mild modifications are akin to the SE trim on the Toyota Camry. While not adding much true sport, it is certainly in keeping with its benchmarked competition.
