Why Buy a Convertible?
Open yourself up to the possibilities

Small trunks can have unexpected benefits, too. Nothing like limited cargo capacity to keep the 'ol credit cards from overheating. So, when your better half suggests a trip to the mall or the home improvement store, just memorize this little phrase: "Hey, let's take the convertible!"
3. Pick Your Flavor
Mention the word "convertible" and lots of people think of sports cars. Little, lightweight sportsters are great fun, and such fine handlers that they practically beg you to find a twisty road to play on. But, open cars come in all shapes and sizes. Traditional sports cars are just big enough for two and minimal cargo. If you need room for four and a couple of golf bags, though, that's possible too. In fact, practically any class of car can be had in convertible form. All you have to do is figure out whether this is your everyday ride or your fair weather friend, and shop accordingly.
4. No More Bad Hair Days
Used to be, you emerged from a day trip in a convertible with your hair looking like you used a jet engine for a blow dryer. If the Don King look doesn't work for you, technology to the rescue. Most manufacturers offer an optional, removable wind blocker that fits behind the seat headrests. Set it up, roll the windows up, and you'll cut out a surprising amount of noise and wind buffeting. You're left with basically a really big sunroof overhead, and a cabin quiet enough to hold a conversation, WITHOUT HAVING TO DO THIS.
