Description:
Packed with advanced technology, Lexus' fourth-generation full-size luxury sedan gets a majestic eight-speed automatic transmission, said to boost performance and fuel economy. Lexus claims 0-60 mph acceleration in 5.4 seconds for the LS, courtesy of a standard 380 horsepower 4.6-liter V-8 that earns a 27-mpg highway estimate. The LS 460 L extended-length sedan is the company's first long-wheelbase model and is now also available as an all-wheel drive LS 600h L that comes equipped with a 389 horsepower V-8 hybrid powerplant. Eight airbags are standard (up to 11 with the optional Executive Package). A Brake Hold function prevents "creep" and rolling backward. An optional Advanced Parking Guidance System actually steers the car into a parking space. LS 460 comes standard as a rear-wheel drive vehicle.
