Description:
The best-selling full-size pickup for nearly three decades running continues to improve with each model year. Large and powerful the current F-150 combines good road manners, refined cabin, and impressive work credentials in a diverse line-up. Buyers can choose from three cab choices, three box lengths, two box styles, five unique series, and an exhaustive options list. Although the Lariat SuperCrew is tempting, the value choice is the XL trim with the 4.2-liter V-6, which can be dressed up with package options to taste. Properly equipped, the F-150 carries a maximum tow rating of 10,500 pounds and a maximum payload capacity of 3,050 pounds. The challenge with buying an F-150 is to target the truck you need, rather than over indulge. For those preferring to overindulge however, Ford offers up its heftier pickup trucks, the F-250, F-350 and the F-450 Super Duty. The spectrum of available power ranges between the three models spans far and wide, starting with a 300 horsepower 5.4-liter V-8, moving up to a 362 horsepower 6.8-liter V-10 and capping off with a 350 horsepower 6.4-liter twin-turbo-diesel V-8. Among those trucks is sure to be something to suit the needs of virtually any truck shopper.
