Description:

"Bold American design" sets the Edge crossover model apart in its class, according to Ford. Targeting customers who disdain the truck-like qualities of traditional SUVs, the Edge displays a taller profile than a passenger car, but promises car like ride/handling. No other crossover can get a VistaRoof, which has a movable front section and a fixed rear panel. Ford promises "best-in-class" output from the 265-horsepower Duratec 3.5-liter V-6. Entry-level SE and upscale SEL editions are available, with front-drive or all-wheel drive. Safety features include seat-mounted airbags, a Safety Canopy with rollover sensing, anti-lock braking, and Roll Stability Control.
