Description:

The Dodge Ram 1500 pickup got a bit of a facelift back in 2006 when it was granted a new front everything, new wheels, and an updated interior, including a new instrument panel, and new seats, all attached to an all-new frame offering multiple cab sizes, making for a bolder, tougher looking Dodge Ram pickup, and all those updates remain for the current year. Engine options include a standard 310 horsepower 3.7-liter V-6, a 310 horsepower 4.7-liter V-8, and a 345 horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI V-8. Safety features, comfortable ride and handling, and available 4x4 set the Ram well ahead of competitors. Dodge Ram Heavy Duty trucks, including Dodge Ram 2500 and Dodge Ram 3500 HD come standard with a 345 horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine. An optional 330 horsepower 5.7-liter V-8, a 5.9-liter 325 horsepower turbo-diesel inline six and a 6.7-liter 350 horsepower turbo-diesel inline six are also offered for Dodge Ram Heavy Duty trucks. Rear-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive drivetrains are available for all Dodge Ram pickup trucks.
