Chevrolet’s SUV “with mid-van convenience” begins another year of production. The Uplander, driven by a 240-hp 3.9-liter V-6 that offers 240 lb-ft. of torque, minds safety with dual-stage frontal air bags and GM’s Passenger Sensing System. Perhaps most exciting about the Uplander is its PhatNoise standard equipment entertainment device. Essentially a 40-gigabyte hard drive with a removable device that connects to your home computer or laptop PC, PhatNoise can store up to 10,000 songs in MP3 format and up to 40 movies for playback on the in-cabin screen. Fun and roomy, Uplander will do it’s best to keep passengers comfortable and entertained at all times.
