Smooth body lines, a well-tuned, go-anywhere chassis and suspension, and a powerful V-6 engine combine for one enticing package. The MDX comes in a range of trims, all of which are driven by the same capable 3.7-liter SOHC V-6 engine. This stout little powerplant pumps out an energetic 300 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque. A five-speed automatic transmission is also standard at all price points. Standard features include full-time all-wheel drive, vehicle stability control, an automatically dimming interior rearview mirror and front, side, and side-curtain airbags. Stepping up to higher end models adds features like ten-way driver and eight-way passenger power seating with memory function and hands-free wireless phone interface. A navigation system and rear seat entertainment round out the high-end options.

Re: Why is my car overheating?My guess is what you're experiencing is every rubber part in the car dying at once. Have you ever changed the radiator hoses? Heater hoses?

How big was the overhaul? Could be poorly installed rings. Did the guy hone the bore?
Did he replace the valve guides?
