| | First introduced for the 2002 model year, the Jeep Liberty changed little through the years…until now. A new suspension system, added safety features and performances upgrades give Liberty a refreshing newness that it has definitely been in need of. Standard equipment is a 210 horsepower 3.7-liter V-6. Power from the Six is less invigorating than the numbers would suggest. Transmission options are a six-speed manual and four-speed automatic. Many options can outfit any Liberty, with such items as engine heater, skid plates, tow package, GPS-based navigation, moon roof, and traditional power amenities. Stability control is standard, working with ABS, traction control, brake assist, and roll mitigation. |
