2008 Acura TL

|
| | Like much of the Acura line up, the mid-size TL sedan received only a mediocre response from automobile buyers during its first, and even second generations. But in 2004, the TL was reborn. The once modest luxo-cruiser was transformed into an in-your-face-and-loving-it sports-tourer with distinctively bold styling, loads of power and more cutting-edge technology than you can shake an iPod at. Today, the Acura TL remains a strong leader in this very competitive segment. Powered by a 3.2-liter SOHC V-6 engine, the base model TL develops 258 horsepower and 233 lb.-ft. of torque. The upgraded and sporty TL Type-S is available with a 3.5-liter SOHC V-6 good for 300 horsepower. Transmission choices include a 5-speed Sequential SportShift automatic transmission with Grade Logic Control, and a 6-speed close-ratio manual transmission. Standard features on the TL include a full complement of front and rear seat airbags, vehicle stability control, traction control, hands-free mobile phone connectivity, Xenon headlights, and dual-zone climate control with rear passenger vent control. Pricing for the TL starts at $33,625, with navigation-equipped models selling for $38,325. |
