Description:

The base 2.5i comes packed with a 175-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a five-speed manual transmission, and with four speed SPORTSHIFT automatic optional. All-wheel drive, standard with the Outback, is graced with newly designed 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, and limited-slip differential. 2.5XT Limited Wagon gets an upsized 2.5-liter 243-hp turbocharged engine. The 3.0R Wagon matures into a six-cylinder 245-hp powerplant. All Outbacks are offered with Limited packages that add various comfort and convenience features. For the more “high-fashion” consumer, Subaru offers the Outback 3.0R Wagon L.L. Bean Edition, which offers fashionable accents such as L.L. Bean embroidered floor mats, L.L. Bean logo embossed seats, and two-tone leather trim upholstery. Equipped with big muscles, the Outback gives its competitors something to worry about.
