An old time favorite of tuner-car drivers, the Subaru Legacy maintains its standards of delivering high-end performance along with safety and comfort into an affordable package accessible by all. Base model Legacy 2.5 i comes with a 175-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, standard with a five-speed automatic transmission, and available with a four-speed automatic. Special Edition and Limited packages are available for those in search of additional comfort and convenience. The Legacy 2.5 GT model gets pushed up to include a 243 horsepower 2.5-liter powerplant with a choice of five-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmissions. Top of the line Legacy 2.5 GT spec. B is available with a six-speed manual transmission only. Save for Legacy 2.5 GT spec. B, all Legacy models are available as Sedans or wagons.
