Description:
Crossovers are hot, prompting Saturn to unveil its new Outlook. Like competitive models, it claims to combine SUV capability with carlike driving characteristics. Three rows of seats hold seven or eight passengers. Third-row access is eased with an articulated, "industry-first" Smart Slide second-row seat. The second-row seat cushion flips up while the seatback slides forward. Adjustable fore/aft positioning increases either legroom or storage space. Offered with front-drive or all-wheel drive and a six-speed Hydra-Matic transmission, the Outlook XE holds a 270-hp, 3.6-liter V-6. A 275-hp dual-exhaust version goes into the XR model. Six airbags and rollover sensing are standard.
