Description:
Launched for 2007, Saturn's midsize sedan succeeds the departed L-Series, which faded after 2005. Similarities between the two are nearly nonexistent, as the Aura initiates a new direction for Saturn. Evolved from a concept vehicle, the Aura follows new Saturn "design language." The entry-level XL sedan contains a 224-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 and four-speed automatic transmission, while the upscale XR gets a 252-hp, 3.6-liter V-6 and six-speed automatic. Curtain and seat-mounted front airbags are standard, along with all-disc ABS. A four-panel sliding panoramic roof is optional. A four-cylinder gasoline/electric Green Line hybrid Aura is expected later.
