As the newest entry into the venerated Porsche model line up, the Cayman and Cayman S standout as the more affordable performance coupes, when compared to the tenured 911, much to the pleasure of the comparatively financially challenged potential buyers. And though both are Porsche coupes, the 911 and Cayman are decidedly different, with the Cayman sourcing its power from a mid-engine flat-6 as opposed to the traditionally rear-mounted 911 powerplant. In comparison to the Boxster, Cayman will supplies a tighter ride due to its being made with a stiffer body. Speed seekers will find pleasure in knowing the Cayman S flies nearly as fast as the Porsche 911.
