Description:
Reminiscent of the driver-friendly Euro-drop tops of the ‘50s and ‘60s, the Miata almost single handedly revived America’s driving spirit in the late 1980s. In fact, within months of its release the compact sportsters were pulling in as much as $10,000 over sticker for several elated Mazda dealers. Now in its third generation, the rear-wheel-drive MX-5 is looking sharper than ever, and with more power too. A 2.0-liter DOHC four cylinder engine pumps out 170 hp and 140 lb.-ft. of torque in all of the Miata’s five trim levels. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard on Club Spec, MX-5 and Touring trims, while a 6-speed manual is matched with the Sport and Grand Touring versions. An optional 6-speed Sport AT with paddle shifters is available on Touring, Sport, and Grand Touring editions.
