Description:
Paving new ground in the pursuit of compact utility, Mazda has introduced a new vehicle into its zoom-zoom infused lineup, the Mazda5. With dual rear sliding doors, abundant head room, rear captain’s chairs and plenty of cargo space, the compact hatchback is perhaps more appropriately described as the very first mini-minivan. At the heart of this pint-sized hauler is a 157-hp 2.3-liter in-line four-cylinder engine that is mated to either a five-speed manual, or optional four-speed automatic transmission. Together they generate 148 lb.-ft. of torque.
