This nimble little speedster is the total package, with plenty of performance, comfort, and value for any small car enthusiast. Available as a 4-door sedan or 5-door hatchback, the MAZDA3 offers two engine choices. A 2.0-liter 150-hp I4 is standard on MAZDA3 i sedans, while the MAZDA3 s sedan and hatchback receive a more powerful 2.3-liter four-cylinder that generates 160 horsepower. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, a 4-speed automatic and a 5-speed automatic. Speed enthusiasts should anticipate the release of the 250 horsepower MAZDASPEED3 later in 2007.
