Billed as a "sport crossover SUV," Mazda's five-passenger CX-7 is said to incorporate "zoom-zoom steering/handling." That's the Mazda theme for a full range of vehicles. Mazda also claims "sports car styling" for the CX-7, led by an astoundingly steep (65-degree) windshield. Bodysides lack moldings, and this curvaceous crossover is actually related to the Mazda6 sedan. Turbocharging gives the 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine 244 horsepower. A high-mounted shifter controls the six-speed automatic transmission, which incorporates Sportshift. Three trim levels are available: Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring, with front-drive or Active Torque Split all-wheel drive. Side-impact and curtain airbags are standard.

Re: Why is my car overheating?My guess is what you're experiencing is every rubber part in the car dying at once. Have you ever changed the radiator hoses? Heater hoses?

How big was the overhaul? Could be poorly installed rings. Did the guy hone the bore?
Did he replace the valve guides?
