| | Toyota boasts one of the most refined minivans on the market, with available luxury features befitting a Lexus badge. The Sienna was given a midlife cosmetic update last year with a new grille, headlamps, fog lamps, and tail lights. Detail changes were made across the four available trims, with wider application of the Lexus-inspired Optitron gauges, and the Limited gaining power-folding side mirrors and third-row seat. The DVD entertainment center touts a nine-inch LCD screen. All Siennas are powered by a 268-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 engine with a five-speed automatic transmission; this drivetrain delivers more verve than its numbers suggest. The Sienna is primarily a FWD vehicle, with the top three trims also available in AWD. The CE and LE grades are available in eight-passenger configuration, with a tri-split second row that allows the center seat to slide forward 13 inches, putting a child within reach of the front-row parents. Front side and side-curtain air bags are standard on all Sienna trims, as are four-wheel antilock brakes and tire-pressure monitor system. Vehicle stability control is available. Luxury boundaries can be pushed with such niceties as tri-zone automatic climate system; 10-speaker, 360-watt stereo; sunshades; laser-based cruise control; parking sonar; and HID headlamps. |
