2007 Lincoln Navigator

|
| | The upscale companion to the Ford Expedition, the Lincoln Navigator competes with the GMC Denali and Cadillac Escalade full-size luxury SUVs. The Navigator was freshened in 2005, and it carries over with changes including a new frame and a face lift. Although considered a true truck-based SUV, the Navigator rides on a fully independent suspension, which benefits ride and handling. All Navigators are powered by a 5.4L, 300-hp V-8 coupled with a Jaguar-shared six-speed automatic transmission. With an optional heavy-duty tow package, the Navigator is rated for pulling up to 8,950 lbs., in addition to its own considerable heft. Two- and four-wheel drive systems are available. The base Luxury trim includes load-leveling air suspension, rear park assist, dual-zone automatic climate control system, heated side mirrors, power-adjustable pedals, AM/FM/CD changer stereo, and leather for the front two rows. Stepping up to Ultimate adds a power-operated lift gate, moon roof, heated/cooled front seats, and power fold-flat third-row seat. Key options include a THX-certified audio system, navigation system, high-intensity-discharge headlamps, power-deploying running boards, and DVD entertainment system. For shoppers looking for more stretching room, the extended length Navigator L adds 25 cubic feet of cargo room. |
