Comfort Zone
One of the graphic treatments came about on a whim. "One night Tim airbrushed a skull's head on the side of the wing, and the next morning he asked me how I liked it," Scott notes. "I told him to go for it on the rest of the car." That theme shows up all over the speaker enclosures in the trunk. He also had Tim do ghosted lettering on the rear quarters. "I liked the look of the Mugen logo, but I didn't want a vinyl sticker on the car, so I had it painted on," he adds.

Scott's project was far from complete at that point, though. While the body parts were being massaged, he sent out the GSR B18C1 engine for some breathing exercises, starting with an AEM cold-air intake and cam gears. The ported and polished '98 head was fitted with JG valves, and on the exhaust side, Scott bolted on Comtech 4-2-1 stainless steel headers, along with an Apex exhaust and muffler system. He also added an SCI ignition to supply juice to the Magnacore wires and NGK plugs, and fuel flows through a B&M regulator and AEM rail. The final performance mod was a single-nozzle, 50-shot Nitrous Express system, with a custom-painted bottle in the trunk.

Sound Effects
Surrounding the nitrous bottle are matching speaker panels and the same death-head imagery found there is also stitched in yellow on the Alante gray upholstery covering the Momo seats. Powering the sound system is an Alpine CVA-1000 with a 12-disc changer and Soundstream amps (502 and 404). The speakers are Soundstream SPL 12 subwoofers and Sony Mobile ES 6.5-inch units, front and rear. Completing the entertainment system are a couple of five-inch acoustic monitors and a flip-down 6.8-inch monitor mounted in the roof of the hatch.

We can thank Scott's girlfriend Kristy for goading him into installing all the in-car entertainment (referred to as "ICE" in sport compact lingo). "I did the first audio system myself, and she said it sucked, and even offered to pay for a new one, so we redid it." The thing is, even when he cranks up the system full blast, what everybody really notices is this Integra's body language.
