Video Funfest from Ken Block and Seinfeld to Hyundai Zombie Fighter

by Jerry Smithon 07.13.2012 12:33

Alex Von Ehrheim, the racer in this short clip from the Locost Championship in England, has one piece of advice for aspiring racecar drivers and builders: “Don’t buy a cheap quick-release boss from eBay.” Here’s why:

Gymkhana 5, a video of tire-hating madman Ken Block shattering the peace of the streets of San Francisco in a 650-horsepower Ford Fiesta, racked up more than 5 million views in its first 24 hours on the web.

Sadly, not everyone is a hero stunt driver who can hotfoot the length of the Bay Bridge and pollute the famous Frisco fog with tire smoke. Most of us lead lives filled with the more mundane chores, like shopping. But that doesn’t mean we can’t dream of driving in Block’s tire tracks.

Jerry Seinfeld’s first TV show was famously called “a show about nothing.” Now the comic is taking a chance with a show that’s actually about something. “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” premieres on Crackle.com on July 19, and features…well, the title pretty much gives it away. Here’s a sample.

The Zombie Apocalypse is coming, but don’t think your wimpy little Prius is going to stay ahead of the hungry undead for long. Here’s Hyundai’s take on the ultimate Zombie Survival Machine, built to commemorate the 100th issue of The Walking Dead comic book. For more gruesome details head on over to Hyundai.
