It's the beginning of 2014, and the Nissan Motor Company is delivering the Datsun Go, as promised. Datsun, a legendary subsidiary of Nissan, was discontinued way back in 1986 and is finally making its comeback.

The Dat-Go, which will make its debut in Delhi, India, will be the first Datsun car sold in the 21st century. Although the first new Dat-Go's will be sold in India, they are part of a bigger international project designed by the Nissan Motor Company. Following the release in India on March 19, the Dat-Go will likely expand to Indonesia, Russia, and South Africa later in 2014. more

Does anyone else remember way back when in March 2012 Nissan promised to revive its legendary subsidiary, Datsun? Well, by the beginning of 2014, less than two years later, Datsun will be alive again, making its presence known in India.

This week, Datsun joined Nissan and Infiniti as the Nissan Motor Company's third brand when it unveiled the all-new Datsun GO. The Datsun GO is a 5-door hatchback powered by a 1.2-liter engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. It is the perfect little car to be introduced in Delhi, India. It is spacious on the inside, with enough room for a family of five and cargo, yet it is agile and maneuverable with quick response, ideal traits for driving in Delhi, where the traffic is comparable, or even worse, than gridlock traffic in LA. more

The Marussia Formula 1 team has signed Maria de Villota as a test driver for the 2012 season. She is one of only a few women to ever get the chance to drive an F1 car. The last was Giovanna Amati, who failed to qualify for three races in 1992. de Villota, the daughter of former F1 driver Emilio de Villota, is unlikely to be given a chance to race soon, but she hopes the test-driver gig will open the door to a seat in the future. Possibly in an effort to curb road rage, the 2013 Ford Fusion will come with a lot of blue ambient lighting. Blue light, it seems, improves your mood and makes you feel good by triggering enzymes in your brain. Other colors can get your attention (red), or refresh you and make you feel relaxed (green). Some people will do anything to avoid flying. Bruton Smith, CEO of a company that owns and operates eight race tracks including Infineon, Bristol, and Charlotte Motor Speedway, wants to build an exact replica of the Nurburgring about 10 miles from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He says the track would be used for testing, not racing, but would be available to manufacturers and individuals. (Source: Jalopnik) more
