After years and years of teasing the public with one concept after another, the all-new 2015 Acura NSX supercar has taken a major step toward production as parent company Honda announced a $70 million investment in an Ohio production facility that will build the two-seater. Acura has not announced when production will begin, but will employ 100 highly skilled workers to build the newest edition of the iconic car that offered Ferrari performance for half the price.
Development of the new NSX will be led by Honda chief engineer Ted Klaus, and production will be headed by associate chief engineer Clement D’Souza. They have their work cut out for them, as the 2015 Acura NSX will be one of the most technologically advanced vehicles on the market when it debuts. More...

Going for a grand more than its predecessor, Acura of America announced that the 2014 Acura ILX will go on sale today. In its second year of production, the ILX has not been a boon for Acura. The entry-level luxury sport sedan did not sell well last year, though Acura attests that it did experience some growth among the emerging Generation Y customer base.
With the price jump (to $26,900 MSRP from $25,900) comes more standard features including larger 17-inch alloy wheels, eight-way power driver's seat, heated front leather seats, Active Noise Cancellation system (ANC), a huge subwoofer, Keyless Access System with pushbutton start, and a Multi-Angle Rearview Camera. Keeping up to par with the more tech-enthusiastic Millennial generation, the ILX also features Pandora integration and SMS text capability. More...

Acura unveiled its SUV-X Concept at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show on Saturday, marking the first time the Honda luxury division has debuted a vehicle outside of North America. The SUV-X is also a China exclusive vehicle – another first for the brand. When the concept goes into production, Acura will be adding a small SUV to the luxury lineup.
The SUV-X takes design cues from its big RDX sister and its compact CR-V cousin, with its severe, angular front and right angle brake lamps. Acura will begin local production and sales in China of the production model next three years. Unfortunately, the SUV-X has no current plans to be produced outside of China. More...

It’s out with the old and in with the new. Last year, Acura shocked consumers when it announced it would be replacing its flagship sedan, the Acura RL, with a completely redesigned successor, the Acura RLX. The changing of the guard was understandable. 2012 was a difficult year for Acura’s RL, whose monthly sales only reached double digits.
For those mourning the loss of the Acura RL, dry those eyes. The RLX is the RL’s sexier daughter – a little wilder, but mature enough to take out to respectable places. More...
