Launched in September 2000, autoMedia.com has aimed to be the online leader in providing quality automotive content with help from a team of the foremost editorial, design and publishing professionals.
Today, autoMedia.com posts up to 100 new articles and attracts more than 1,000,000 unique visitors each month. The site offers over 2,500 articles by leading experts, with a wide variety of topics ranging from breaking news, motorsports coverage and new car reviews to DIY advice about car care maintenance, restoration and performance modifications.
Another key section of the autoMedia.com site is the new vehicle buyer’s guide, which provides the latest pricing, specifications, warranty and mileage information. It also lists standard and optional features, rebates and incentives, user reviews and photos to help prospective buyers find the perfect new or used vehicle.
Now, for 2013, the autoMedia.com evolution continues with a fresh website re-design, plus even more quality content with increased functionality and reader interaction.
Expertise distinguishes and defines autoMedia.com
The heart and soul of autoMedia.com is defined by two true larger-than-life industry pioneers. The late Robert E. Petersen, considered the originator of automotive media, served as the majority owner of autoMedia Solutions, Inc. from its inception. The founder of several iconic titles such as Motor Trend and Hot Rod magazines, as well as the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, Petersen brought unrivaled know-how to the digital realm.
In addition, the late and great automotive icon Carroll Shelby joined Petersen as an early advisor to autoMedia.com. Shelby served on the Board of Directors until his recent passing in 2012. Known worldwide for his unprecedented accomplishments in aftermarket innovation, performance-fueled engineering and racing, Shelby will forever remain a driving force in the automotive world.
autoMedia Solutions, Inc. founder and CEO Doug Hamlin combines his Marine-hardened dedication with veteran experience as a former Motor Trend publisher to drive the business built around the “automotive advice you can trust” creed.
Hamlin is joined by former Motor Trend Marketing Director Marshall Flemion, who taps his years of management in his role as President. The multi-talented Brian Hamlin rounds out the senior management team serving as autoMedia.com Vice President and Publisher.
Other former Petersen Publishing professionals and magazine writers join these leaders who together have created a unique, consumer-focused automotive destination online to serve the expanding digital needs of interested car shoppers and enthusiasts. This combination of insightful vehicle reviews, technical articles and automotive features covers the full cycle of vehicle research, ownership and enjoyment.
