Description:
Big news this year for the Volkswagen Jetta model line is the TDI. The 2009 Volkswagen Jetta TDI sedan looks as sporty and modern as other new Jetta models, but comes with a 2.0-liter 140-horsepower (@ 4,000 rpm) inline four-cylinder turbocharged clean diesel engine that produces 30 miles per gallon in city driving and 41 on the highway. A clean diesel engine runs on ultra-low sulfur diesel that produces 97 percent less sulfur content and considerably less emissions. Green Car Journal named the 2009 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Green Car of the Year. The rest of the Jetta lineup includes S, SE, and SEL sedans and the Jetta SportWagen.
