Description:
Redesigned for 2009, Toyota’s Matrix is a small yet capable package that can carry its fair share of them plus 4-5 adults. The biggest wow beneath the fresh styling is the new 2.4-liter, 158-hp four-cylinder engine, standard on Matrix S and XRS editions. Base Matrix models receive a 1.8-liter, 132-hp four. All Matrix four-door hatchbacks come standard with driver front airbag and front passenger airbag, driver and front passenger front seat-mounted side airbags and front and rear side curtain airbags, active headrests, four-wheel anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), and Brake Assist. Transmission choices are a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual. Matrix S models are available in all-wheel drive with a four-speed automatic.
