Description:
Changes for the 2009 Sable are significant but few. The most noteworthy: AdvanceTrac Electronic Stability Control, Brake Assist and SOS Post-Crash Alert System are standard features. AdvanceTrac helps the driver maintain control on slippery surfaces or during emergency maneuvers. Brake Assist helps maximize the usefulness of the Sable’s standard anti-lock braking system. It uses a computer program to recognize when the driver should be pressing hard on the brake pedal during an urgent situation. When that happens, Brake Assist then actuates full ABS. The SOS Post-Crash Alert System can sound the horn three times at four-second intervals and flash the hazard lights after an accident when the airbags have been deployed and/or the front safety belt pretensioners activated.
