New-for-2009 cruise control for Accents with SE Premium and Popular Equipment packages also helps owners save time and money. With more interior room than Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic, but costing thousands of dollars less, the Accent also surprises for ’09 with a B&M Racing sport shifter, XM radio and MP3 input capability. Accent is offered in both four- and three-door models, with standard safety features including front, side and roof-mounted airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners and load limiters and a tire-pressure monitoring system. Antilock brakes and electronic brake-force distribution are standard on SE models and optional on GLS. Pricing starts just above $11,000 for a three-door Accent in GS trim mode.
