Description:
Cadillac’s CTS luxury performance sedan enters 2009 on a high note after an award-winning 2008 season, and with more good news on the way. While the base 3.6-liter VVT engine is absolutely no slouch at 268 hp and a rated 18/26 city/highway mpg, the new-for-’08 direct-injection 3.6-liter six achieves 304 horsepower and 17/26 city/highway mileage, thanks to its very precise delivery of fuel into the engine for more efficiency and less consumption and emissions. Sharp styling and luxury features classify the CTS as purebred Cadillac, while its performance-driving personality quickly erases any stodgy, old notions one may have about the brand. Next up later in the model year is the 550-hp CTS-V—with a Corvette ZR1-derived V8—so you can have your Cadillac and Corvette, too.
