Description:
Buick Lucerne returns for the third year since its debut as a 2006 model. A new, more fuel-efficient 227-hp 3.5-liter V6 with E85 flex-fuel capability is standard issue on Lucerne CX and CXL models. Both base and mid-level trims also get new 17-inch wheels in either Bright Silver premium paint or chrome-plated finish. Top-of-the-line Lucerne Super is fitted with a 292-hp 4.6-liter V8. All Lucernes get four-speed automatics and three new interior colors for 2009: Mystic Sapphire Tricoat, Quicksilver Metallic and Cyber Gray Metallic. The V6 engine is rated to achieve city/highway mileage of 17/26 while V8 models are estimated to earn 15/22. Buyers who upgrade to Lucerne's Driver Confidence Package, which includes remote start, Stabilitrak and an anti-theft system, can opt for Buick's new Side Blind Zone Alert system and Lane Departure Warning system that warn the driver of possible, unintended contact with other cars.
