2007 Toyota Camry
Redesigned with more presence and performance

The new Camry drives much like the previous one, only better. The upgraded 4-cylinder provides adequate power with good fuel economy, while the muscular V-6 is a powerhouse, up 58 horses from last year's 3.3-liter. Most fun, at least on smooth roads, is the lower, stiffer SE sport model, which has added structural bracing, firmer springs, shocks, bushings and anti roll bars, better steering feel and even underbody aerodynamic treatment for enhanced stability.
The base CE starts at just under $19,000 (slightly less than the '06), including destination, but other models are significantly higher than their '06 counterparts due to increased equipment and refinement levels. The Hybrid's base MSRP is $25,900. Fuel economy ranges from 25 mpg EPA city and 34 highway for the manual-shift four to 43/37 for the Hybrid. Even the powerful V-6 is more than respectable with 22/31 mpg EPA ratings.
As we said, there are plenty of excellent midsize sedan choices out there, most fully competitive in quality and every other way, and some more expressive and distinctive. But if you're already a satisfied Camry owner, past or present, you should like this one even better. (www.toyota.com)
