2005 Chrysler 300C
Yep, this thing's got a Hemi, too

Available options include all-wheel drive (coming this fall), high-intensity discharge headlamps with washers, Boston Acoustics 7-speaker 380-watt digital amplifier with subwoofer, power adjustable pedals, front and rear side curtain airbags, self-sealing tires, Parktronic rear object detection, a Technology Package with GPS Navigation system and integrated 6-CD changer, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, UConnect hands-free communications system, and more.
That said, with nearly every option checked, you can't pay over $38,000 for a Hemi-equipped 300C. And after driving this remarkable new entry, you'll be convinced you don't need to pay more for a European badge. Although the Mercedes-Benz E-Class continues to sell very well, a side-by-side comparison would make you think twice about writing a bigger check for the German import, when you can get the equivalent of that car's underpinnings for much, much less.
While the 250-hp engine is more than acceptable, even with the specter of increased fuel prices, enthusiasts will insist on the 5.7-liter, 350-hp V-8 in the 300C.
Impressed as you will be with this car's upgraded content, you'll be even more enthusiastic when you head for your favorite twisty piece of road. During our test drive, the surprisingly good 300C stormed through curvy mountain switchbacks and 80-mph sweepers, North of Palm Springs on the Ortega Highway. Driven enthusiastically, the 300C cornered like the proverbial toy on a string. Its sophisticated, fully independent suspension, based on Mercedes-Benz designs, is comparable to the current E-Class. The rack-and-pinion steering is precise, with sharp turn-in, balanced assist, and good on-center feel. Progressive, confidence-inspiring brakes haul the car down smoothly, time after time. Exceed the car's very high cornering limits and the ESP kicks in seamlessly, using a combination of reduced throttle and increased braking to keep you tracking like a pro.
While the AutoStick encourages quick gear changes (and this is the only real nit we have), its shift actuation motion is side-to-side versus a more logical fore-and-aft movement. Clever under-car aerodynamic aids effectively manage airflow for surefooted high-speed driving. Despite the 300C's bluff exterior, wind noise is minimal. That powerful, third-generation Hemi V-8 delivers more horsepower than the BMW 745i or Infiniti Q45.
Although it can save 10-to-20 percent on fuel consumption (your results may vary), the Hemi's multi-displacement cylinder de-activation "on-off' is perceptible, with a slight tremor, when the engine is idling. Nail the drive-by-wire throttle at speed, though, and it's virtually undetectable. The wooly exhaust note is a treat at idle and under hard acceleration. You'll find yourselves looking for excuses to nail the throttle and enjoy the Hemi's exhilarating rumble.
