2004 Chrysler Concorde Limited rear review
Continued from Page 1

Our test car was a top-of-the-line Limited, the most powerful and luxurious Concorde, motivated by a high-output 250-hp version of the 3.5-liter V-6. Its heated front power seats are trimmed in Royale leather, its steering wheel and shift knob are leather-wrapped to match, and its remote memory stores two sets of driver's seat, driver outside mirror and radio presets.

Interior
The Limited's interior is further distinguished by a classy analog clock upper-center on its dash, tastefully rich wood trim, white-face gauges with blue-tint electroluminescent lighting and a special center console with twin cupholders and an extra 12-volt outlet for your cell phone, MP3 player, or whatever. Also standard are a multi-function trip computer, AM/FM/CD 120-watt six-speaker audio system, automatic halogen projector headlamps, fog lamps, height-adjustable front shoulder belts and a rear-seat pass-through into the roomy 18.7 cu. ft trunk. An $1,840 ($2,240 minus $400 discount) "Premium Discount Group" adds another host of features including a 360-watt, 9-speaker Infiniti sound system with in-dash 6-CD changer, a power moonroof, a wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel and even a full-size spare tire on a matching alloy wheel. Bottom-line sticker for this well-equipped beauty was $32,055.

"Combining head-turning design with great value is what the 2004 Chrysler Concorde is all about," says Chrysler Marketing Vice President Tom Marinelli. "We give customers all the benefits and features they expect in a luxury full-size sedan at a great price."

Chrysler says the Concorde combines sporty good looks with the roominess, utility and generous cargo volume of a full-size sedan and the driving agility of a mid-size sedan. Also, that its "touring-tuned" suspension gives a confident driving feel without compromising comfort. And we can't take issue with any of that.

Handling
Front suspension is MacPherson struts with integral gas-charged shock absorbers, coil springs, single transverse lower links, tension struts, urethane jounce bumpers and spring seats, and a link-type stabilizer bar. Rear suspension is Chapman struts with integral gas shocks, coil springs, dual transverse lower links, lower trailing links, urethane jounce bumpers and spring seats and (standard on Limited, optional on LXi) a link-type stabilizer bar.
