2003 Chrysler Sebring LXi Coupe
Proudly wearing the winged seal of approval

For such a high-style ride, the Sebring coupe is remarkably roomy. It seats four in comfort and will swallow a fifth friend in a pinch. Extra rear room was achieved by spotting the occupants' heads well behind the upper window frame. Seatbacks split and fold to facilitate stretching the 16.3-cubic foot cargo hold during home-improvement shopping sprees. An easy-entry feature on the passenger side gets the seat out of the way quickly for expeditious entry and exit on club night. Lap and shoulder belts are provided at every seating position. Front airbags are engineered to deploy with reduced force, minimizing the likelihood of adding to collision injuries. Special energy-absorbing material is judiciously used behind interior trim panels to mitigate head injury.
Aesthetically, the coupe's cockpit receives mild massaging for 2003. The redesigned instrument panel includes black-backed gauges, and brightwork has been added to the various bezels and surrounds. One cool feature that's standard on all Sebring coupes is an electrochromic inside mirror that automatically dims when struck by light. Touch a button to activate it at night and glare is eliminated. During the day or at night on less-traveled roads, sensitivity is increased for a better view of where you've been.
The LXi's standard sound system boasts seven amplified speakers and an in-dash CD that stores four discs. The 50-series H-speed-rated radial tires look especially hot on the optional chrome-plated forged-aluminum 17-inch wheels.
For about $25,000 you can load the Sebring to the gunwales with creature comforts and accessory features that will have you feeling like royalty. But the best treat of all is how this car behaves. The Sebring LXi communicates to the driver with impeccable manners and an engaging desire to please. Given Chrysler's winged seal of approval on the new grille, anything less would be inappropriate.
