2003 Chrysler Sebring GTC Convertible
More power, more fun

Except for the slightly awkward push-button ignition key release, the Sebring's controls are ergonomically excellent, with convenient stalks for lights and wipers and dials for HVAC, all with a quality look and feel. Cruise controls are nicely integrated into the steering wheel spokes. We liked the front shoulder belts built into the seats, the extra 12-volt outlet in the console bin and the interior light override-for when you don't want them on when the door is open. The low-mounted optional 6-disc CD changer was a bit of a reach but worked great.
Our test GTC started at $25,535 and stickered at $27,550, including a $675 destination charge. Options included a $40 Cold Weather Group, a $195 Security Group, the $300 cassette/CD-changer radio, a $475 set of Infinity speakers with a 150-watt amplifier, a $350 6-way power driver's seat and a $30 Smokers Group (lighter and ash tray). EPA fuel economy is a very respectable 20 mpg city, 27 highway.
Chrysler typically owns about 15 percent of the U.S. convertible market and plans to sell some 50,000 open-air Sebrings again this year on its way to that 850,000 target for 2004. One of those could be yours. (www.chrysler.com)
