2002 Ford Focus Sedan
Fun in a four-door from a worldwide leader

Over-right-shoulder visibility is good, but the over-left-shoulder view is constricted. The cockpit is sufficiently spacious in front, though the driver's seat bottom could be more supportive. The sedan's rear seat is easy to enter and space is more than adequate. Knee room is close but sufficient in the outer rear seats. Although the trunk is fair-sized and squarish in shape, it suffers from a somewhat high lift-over.
Some critics have practically swooned over the Focus, placing it on a pedestal above the competition. That may be going a bit far, but Ford's subcompact is a strong contender for the small-car dollar based on its sprightly shape, eager behavior and athletic agility. (www.fordvehicles.com)
