On our test car, a $1,985 Comfort/Convenience package added rear airbags, a memory package, power tilt and telescopic steering wheel, a garage door opener programmable for up to three doors and my favorite: Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist. Who among us has not backed up without being able to see what was behind us and how close? This wonderful system gives progressive visual and audio warnings to prevent embarrassing and expensive damage.
Comfort and room, front and rear, are superb even for the long and tall. Quality of materials, fits and finishes seem excellent throughout. All features function extremely well and are easy to see, reach and operate. One exception is the standard Bose eight-speaker cassette/CD entertainment system's Radio Data System (RDS). It's complex and there is no radio tuning knob, which makes it difficult to tune into a station that you want and know is there, but a bit too weak for the electronic seek and scan to recognize. Overall, however, if a large luxury sedan fits your needs, it's hard to find a reason not to like this one. I would recommend it in a heartbeat. (www.cadillac.com)
