In addition to the aforementioned leather and wood trappings, the Millenia's formidable roster of standard features includes things like automatic climate control, front and front-side airbags, AM/FM/CD/cassette sound system, moonroof, dual power seats, power tilt steering column, and keyless remote entry to hit but a few of the highlights. Despite a continuing uphill battle in its market segment, the latest round of changes have already registered a positive impact on Millenia sales—which were up by more than 28 percent during the first four months of this year.


Mazda is keenly aware that a far more radical solution is needed if the Millenia is to prosper in the long run. It's currently busy conjuring up an all-new and drastically different replacement model for 2003. In the meantime, there's still a decent chunk of the good life left in this iteration.
